On this page we will add groups, organisations and services for LGBT+ people over 50.
Opening Doors (OD) is the largest UK charity providing activities, events, information and support services specifically for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, non-binary or gender fluid people over 50.
Membership organisation.
Brixton Umbrella Circle – is an independent, peer led, self-help group for older (50+) LGBTQ’s. It offers a forum for mutual support, socialising and addressing individual and collective experiences ( past and current ) in a social, cultural and political context.
Umbrellas provide shelter and is used as a term for covering all – and because our hearts and minds can be like umbrellas – useless if we do not open them.
ELOP LGBT+ Over 50 Social Group – Friendly welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people over 50 to meet, discuss topics and get to know each other better.

Furzedown Project – 50+ LGBT Coffee Morning, Thursday mornings 10 – 12, facilitated by Wandsworth LGBTQ+ Forum.
Waves – Lambeth 50+ group for LGBTQ+ people who live/work/socialise in Lambeth to come together and connect with one another in a safe and friendly non-judgemental environment (facilitated by LGBT Hero).
METRO 50+ – a social group for LGBTQ+ people aged 50 or over in Woolwich. Moonthly meetings 2-4 pm on the last Tuesday of each month.
