Inclusive Progressive Flag Project –

The objective of this project is to present all the Mayors of London, including the Mayor of London, the Lord Mayors of Westminster and the City of London, and all the London Borough Mayors – with an Intersex Progressive Rainbow Flag along with a copy of our community calendar.

We are inviting them to fly the flag in support of the LGBT+ community during their term of office – our community calendar highlighting dates they can show their support.

Project updates

• January 2022 – Mark Healey’s birthday Facebook Fundraiser raised funds to cover the basic costs of this project. £485 was raised.
• March 2022 – 35 Inclusive Progressive Pride Flags have been ordered.
• April/May 2022 – David Watters volunteered to help us research the contact details for all the newly elected Mayors.

• May 2022 – We packed the flags ready for distribution to all the Mayors, posted 2nd Class by recorded delivery on the 23rd May 2022.

• July – the Mayor of London Public Liasion Unit responded – “This year we are flying the Pride Progress Flag adapted by Valentino Vecchietti of Intersex Equality Rights UK to incorporate the intersex flag, creating this Intersex-Inclusive Pride Flag. Please note that it is currently flying above City Hall (see Mayor of London Twitter post).
