Pride Marching Group

Rainbow Boroughs Project Pride Marching Group – the London LGBT+ Boroughs marching together.

Our Rainbow Broughs Project Pride Marching Group aims to help raise the profile of borough LGBT+ forums at Pride and provide a space on the march for members of the LGBT+ community.

Some LGBT+ people come from boroughs where there are no borough LGBT+ forums, some come from boroughs where the borough LGBT+ forum has opted not to take part in Pride.

Some Borough LGBT+ forums don’t have the funds or the capacity to organise their own marching groups, this project gives us the opportunity to join forces and march together.

Marching with the Admiral Duncan Memorial Banner (2019) – marking the 20th anniversary of the Soho Nail Bomb attack.

We have secured 70 wristbands to particpate in the Pride in London Parade taking place on Saturday 2nd July 2022. This year is a significant year for the Pride movement and the LGBT+ community as we commemorate 50 years since the first Pride took place in the United Kingdom.

We plan to march with the Admiral Duncan Act of Remembrance banner and use our space on the march to raise awareness about our anti-hate crime work. We want to remember those who should be marching with us – but who have had their lives cut short through acts of hatred.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with Rainbow Boroughs Project members17-24-30 NationalHCAW volunteers and the family/friends of those directly affected by the Admiral Duncan nail bomb attack.
